Bauchi Civil Service Commission Suspends 6 Officers For Alleged Misconduct
The Bauchi State Civil Service Commission says it has suspended six officers for allegedly selling, or converting to private use, government properties, worth millions of Naira, removed from the ongoing construction sites of flyovers, at Wunti and the Central Market Area, within the Bauchi metropolis.
The notice of the suspension was made available in a Press Release by the Information and Public Relations Officer, Saleh Umar.
It said, the decision for the suspension of the officers was taken during its valedictory sitting, at the 41st plenary session on November 14, 2024.
According to the statement, the crime allegedly committed by the officers, contravened Section 0327 of the Bauchi State Public Service Regulations on wrongdoing and improper behaviour.
Hence, the commission suspended them under Section 0331 of the state’s Public Service Regulations, to allow the relevant authorities to investigate the reported crime.
The statement also mentioned that those suspended were staff of the state’s Ministry of Works and Transport, attached to the state’s Infrastructures Development and Maintenance Agency, (BASIDMA).
The suspension, according to the statement, took effect from November 14, 2024
