Katagum LG Chairman Launches Free Medical Outreach to Improve Healthcare Services
The Chairman of Katagum Local Government, Hon. Yusuf Babayo Zaki, widely known as Kauran Azare, has inaugurated a free medical outreach program aimed at enhancing the well-being of residents in Katagum.
The outreach, which focuses on alleviating healthcare burdens in underserved areas, was officially launched today at a ceremony held at the Local Government Secretariat.
During the event, Kauran Azare emphasized that the outreach was established to reduce the spread of diseases and to provide much-needed medical support to vulnerable populations across the community.
He noted that the initiative underscores a commitment to public health by making essential medicines accessible to those facing financial hardships.
As part of this outreach, medications will be distributed to health centers across all 20 districts within Katagum Local Government.
This extensive distribution effort is designed to bolster healthcare services and extend support to hard-to-reach areas.
The inauguration saw a notable turnout, including senior local government officials, traditional leaders, and community representatives, highlighting the significance of the program and the community’s dedication to addressing local health issues collectively.
