Bauchi Suspends Three Senior Officers Over Misconduct
Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC) has suspended two permanent secretaries and one chief executive officer (account) for serious misconduct with effect from 27th September, 2024.
The suspension was considered during the commission’s 1st extraordinary sitting in the year held on Monday, 30th September, 2024 at its conference hall.
The commission during the session, reviewed the recommendations and other available documents on the affected officers submitted by the office of the state head of civil service which recommended appropriate disciplinary actions against the officers.
The commission suspended them under section 0331 of the Bauchi state public service regulations to give room for further investigations since the matter is currently with the relevant authorities.
The permanent secretaries suspended are former Accountant General of the State, Sa’idu Abubakar and Danjuma Garba as well as Bala Ibrahim Sabo, a Chief Executive Officer (Accounts).
They are currently attached to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Ministry of Higher Education and Ministry of Natural Resources respectively.
In his remarks during the meeting, the chairman of the commission, Abubakar Usman, warned the state civil servants to adhere to the rules of engagement in the conduct and discharge of their responsibilities.
Abubakar Usman reiterated the commission’s efforts and determination in sanitising the state civil service.
