Bauchi Scrap Dealers Issues Ban on Illegal Purchase of Certain Items
The Bauchi State Chapter of the National Association of Scrap and Waste Dealers has issued a public notice, prohibiting the illegal purchase of specific items. This move is part of the association’s effort to assist security agencies in combating the theft and sale of public and private property.
According to the statement signed by the association’s Secretary General, Engr. Rayyan Musa Gurjiya, members of the association are reminded of the new regulations aimed at safeguarding community resources. The association emphasized the importance of cooperation in protecting citizens’ property from criminals operating within Bauchi State.
Items prohibited from illegal purchase include:
- Cooking pots
- School doors and windows
- Transformer wires
- Railway materials
- Public electricity white cables
The association urged its members to strictly comply with the regulations and monitor the items they buy from individuals to avoid repercussions. Special mention was made of the association’s TASKFORCE, which will be responsible for enforcing these rules across the state.
The Bauchi State Scrap Dealers Association reiterated its commitment to working with security agencies and other stakeholders to ensure public safety and maintain order in the scrap industry.
