IDPWD: Bauchi First Lady Empowers Women With Disability

The Bauchi State First Lady’s Foundation Al-Muhibbah Foundation in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has empowered women with Disability on skills acquisition training to commemorate the 2023 International Day for Persons with Disability in the state.

Speaking at the ceremony, the President of the Foundation, Bauchi State First Lady Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad commanded the UNFPA for the recognizing the International Day for Persons with Disability.

She also said her office through the pet project Al-Muhibbah Foundation has since identified the need to support persons with disability adding that her office will continue to support them in the society to enable them live a normal life.

She also appeals the well meaning individuals to continue support people with disability saying they have a sense belonging.

Earlier, UNFPA representatives commanded Al-Muhibbah Foundation for the partnership and the State First Lady for attending occasion saying all hands must be on deck to support people with special needs especially in this trying time.
