The group, which made the call during a peaceful protest in Abuja, carried different placards with inscriptions such as “Killings of innocent citizens, Bauchi state is bleeding, killings of innocent citizens by stooges of Governor rampant without media coverage, amongst others, matched from Eagle Square to the National Assembly’s main gate in Abuja to register their grievances against the state governor.

The coordinator of the group, Suleiman Mohammed told newsmen that the group was in Abuja because all their complaints against the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed have remained unanswered.

He said, “We are here to pass the message across to the nation that innocent souls are being killed in Bauchi State and billions of naira are being looted.

On why the group did not approach the state’s house of assembly with their grievances, Mohammed alleged that the media and the security agencies in the state are not doing enough in the campaign against the menace.

“So we decided to come to the centre of the nation to pass the message across so that people can hear and see what is going on so that they can come to our rescue,” he said.
