Bauchi Police Arrest Suspect Armed Robber in Giade LGA
Detectives from the Giade Divisional Police Headquarters have been a 20-year-old suspect, Usama Mohammed, in connection with a recent armed robbery in Giade Local Government Area.
On the night of August 2, a distress call alerted police to a home invasion in Jalo Village. Around 9:40 PM, four armed robbers, wielding knives and cutlasses, broke into a residence and stole an Itel A70 mobile phone valued at ₦75,000 and a Huawei phone valued at ₦30,000.
Responding swiftly, a team of detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Giade arrived at the scene and successfully captured Usama Mohammed. However, the other three suspects managed to escape and remain at large.
The Commissioner of Police for Bauchi State, CP Auwal Musa Mohammed, has mandated the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation. Efforts are intensifying to track down the remaining suspects and bring them to justice.
The Bauchi State Police Command, through its spokesperson SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the lives and property of residents, urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
As the investigation continues, the community is advised to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure a swift resolution to the case.
