QAT Foundation distributes palliatives to persons with disability
The Queen Adenike Tejuosho Foundation in collaboration with the office of the Senior Special Assistant on Special needs and Equal Opportunities on Wednesday has flagg-off the distribution of palliatives to Persons With Disabilities in Abuja.
In her own remark, the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation Queen Adenike Tejuosho said “We’re thrilled to share that with the generous support of the QAT Foundation, we’re extending our assistance to Persons with Disabilities in the Abuja environs. In collaboration with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, we’re distributing Parliatives to 1000 households in Disability colonies.
According to her “This initiative aims to alleviate hardships and ensure equal access to essential resources. Together, we’re making a meaningful difference. Thank you for your support and solidarity!” she said.
Katagum Dailypost learnt that the items distributed including Shagetti, rice, bean, Irish, maggi and salt etc.
In interview with one of the beneficiary Babangida Bala said “I got 8 different kinds of Palliatives including cash. I am sure that the Queen Adenike Tejuosho have so much heart for Persons with Disability”
“We pray for her to become the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation so that many more will benefit” he said.
In a related development, the Foundation in partnership with NET Microfinance Bank, will be empowering 200 vulnerable with POS machines and startup cash of ₦50,000 each.
The empowerment will includes 50 widows, 50 students, 50 men, and 50 people living with disabilities. The presentation will take place on March 25th 2024 Insha Allah.
