Dan Bello Exposes Bauchi Gov’s Failures in Education Sector
Popular comedian and actor, Dan Bello Galadanci, has publicly criticized the Bauchi State government, accusing the administration of neglecting the education sector.
In a recent expose, Galadanci alleged that Governor Bala Mohammed has focused more on personal projects than improving education across the state’s 20 local government areas.
According to Galadanci, while the governor boasts about his achievements and seeks support for a potential presidential bid, he simultaneously constructed a government house worth 6 million naira, alongside a personal residence reportedly more luxurious.
However, the comedian pointed out that the governor’s focus on infrastructure hasn’t extended to the educational reforms urgently needed in Bauchi State.
The state government has dismissed Galadanci’s accusations, claiming he is trying to boost his public profile by making false statements. The commissioner of education Dr. Jamila Dahiru described him as “a liar trying to make name for himself.”
In response to the state’s denials, Galadanci stood firm, drawing attention to the “terrible” state of government schools in Bauchi.
He stated that the root of the educational crisis is not unique to Bauchi but reflects the widespread decay across Northern Nigeria.
“The story of Kaura is just a drop in an ocean of decay,” he said, signaling that these issues are part of a much larger problem in the region.
The expose has ignited discussions among citizens and stakeholders about the quality of governance and the need for urgent action to reform education in Bauchi and beyond.
