Maulud: Bauchi Gov Preaches Unity, Peaceful Coexistence
Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, has called on the Muslim community in the state to embrace the values of peace, unity, and coexistence in his Goodwill message for the 2024 Eid-El-Maulid celebration.
In his address, Governor Mohammed highlighted that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) exemplified virtues such as peace, honesty, patience, generosity, humility, sincerity, and love for one another. He urged everyone, regardless of their religious beliefs, to adopt these principles in their lives.
The Governor expressed gratitude for the opportunity to witness this year’s Eid-El-Maulid and emphasized that the occasion should be used for reflection and self-evaluation. He encouraged Muslims to assess their relationship with their Creator and fellow human beings over the past year and make necessary improvements.
He also called on all residents of Bauchi State to continue living in peace and harmony, despite their ethnic, religious, or political differences. The Governor urged prayers for sustained peace within the state and for the restoration of peace in regions facing security challenges.
Acknowledging the current economic difficulties affecting Nigerians, Governor Mohammed urged everyone to pray for divine intervention to alleviate these hardships. He also requested prayers for protection against flood disasters, extending sympathy to the victims in affected states, particularly Borno State.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to maintaining law and order, the Governor assured that the government, in collaboration with security agencies, would continue to take measures to ensure public safety. He warned that any actions threatening peace and order would be dealt with according to the law.
Governor Mohammed concluded his message by wishing the Muslim Ummah a joyous Eid-El-Maulid and praying for the continued guidance and protection of Allah for everyone.
