Gov Bala Set to Flag Off Road Construction In Katagum, Other 4 LGAs

The Bauchi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, is set to launch a landmark road construction project in five Local Government Areas (LGAs) aimed at boosting agriculture and the local economy.

The flag-off ceremony, scheduled for August 21 and 22, 2024, will mark the beginning of the construction of roads in Alkaleri, Bauchi, Katagum, Misau, and Zaki LGAs under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).

According to the Honorable Commissioner for Rural Development and Special Duties, Hon Farouk Mustapha, the project is designed to open up rural areas and urban centers, facilitating the easy movement of farm produce and promoting food sufficiency amidst economic hardship.
