Normalcy Returns To Azare, 3 Suspects Nabbed 

It is coming 24-hours after the imposition of a curfew in Azare the headquarters of Katagum local government by the Bauchi State Government.

KATAGUM DAILYPOST Gathered that the curfew came on the heels of a young, underage group of hoodlums who disguised as protesters and waving Russian flags, invaded Azare town, setting the local government secretariat ablaze, vandalising the Government Lodge, the former Deputy Governor Baba Tela’s House and looting other public properties.

Bauchi State Police spokesman, Ahmed Wakili, did not answer calls put to him or reply text messages.

A resident of Azare town, however, confirmed that normalcy has returned, at the time of this report.

According to him, security operatives have been deployed to the area, and stationed in strategic areas.

As of yesterday, when the incident happened, the Bauchi State Police Command, in a press release signed by the spokesman, Ahmed Wakili, said that the police had arrested three suspects who were waving suspected Russian flags while protesting within the Bauchi Metropolitan City
