Protest: ASCOE Azare Calls Students For Calmness Amidst Nationwide Protest

The management of Aminu Saleh college of education, Azare has appeal students for calmness in the college amidst nationwide protest slated for the 1st of August 2024.

It maintained that joining the protest would disrupt the peace enjoyed in the college stressing that to be forewarned is to be forearmed.

The college slated this in a press statement signed by the Registrar, Abdullahi Babbaji, and made available to Katagum Dailypost Correspondent.

The statement stated that, “The college advisory management committee at it’s regular meeting held on Tuesday 30 July, 2024, observed with serious concern on the planned nationwide protest by some individual and group. The committee acknowledge the economic hardship faced by Nigerians, but also emphasized on the needs of careful consideration of the potential impact of protest on academic pursuit and national stability thereby advises staff and students to embrace peace and dialogue as mean of resolving issues.

Similarly, The provost urged all students to desist from joining or participate in the protest and concentrate in the pursuit of their education for the self-achievement and national development”

In view of the above, The provost assures all students that lecturer and all other activities in the college will continue as usual without any interruption, as management made adequate arrangements for security to safeguard life and property of both staff and students in the college during the planned nationwide protest.

Therefore, All staff and students are requested to always be with their ID card, The security directed not to allow any person into the college without ID card from 5:00pm today Tuesday 31 July, 2024 pls, statement said.
