Bauchi Speaker Congratulates Gov. Bala On National Award As Best Governor On Urban Renewal
The Honorable Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman, all members and staff of the Bauchi State House of Assembly felicitate with His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on earning national award for ‘Urban Renewal’. The award was conferred on him at the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service organized by The Best Strategic (TBS) media in collaboration with Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The gigantic efforts carved by the Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration in making Bauchi State epicenter of tourism, developments and economic hub have not only made people proud but also redeemed the lost glories of Bauchi State. However, places that were inaccessible before are now being accessed comfortably as construction of linkable tarred roads have boosted incomes of the residents through owning shops. Labourers engaged during constructions are from those areas thereby mitigating vices due to idleness.
“Bauchi State under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed maintained it’s status as best tourism destination in Nigeria. Projects executed by the Governor in the State transformed dilapidated areas into the most attractive not only to Bauchi indigenes but also to others from neighboring States. Democratic dividends are provided to all irrespective of differences, making life better has been the top priority of Governor Bala as he ensures equal provision to all the 20 Local government Areas of the State”. The Speaker said.
The Honorable Speaker revealed that “the ongoing construction of flyovers in the State capital when completed will end difficulties experience by road users. Unknown to many, unscheduled visit of Governor Bala to project sites made contractors perform qualitative and standard works that will last for decades. Removal of illegally stationed shops will make the State capital more urban, congestions they cause to road commuters and pedestrians now became to things of the past”.
“Governor Bala Mohammed deserved the ‘Urban Renewal’ award as people from all States of the Federation keep coming to Bauchi daily to have a physical look at the ultra modern Government House. The executive building is now amongst the best in the whole country. Governor Bala in just past five years in office has improved living standard of the masses and recorded successes in all sectors; his name will never be forgotten”. The Speaker reiterated.
The Speaker and members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly congratulate Governor Bala Mohammed on this well-deserved award and praying for more to come. The legislative chamber will continue to support and ensures that all people-favoured bills forward before the honorable house receive necessary considerations they deserve. The respectable, collaborative and mutual relationship between the executive and legislative arms in Bauchi State will lead to erecting legacies for many generations.
