Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, the Leader of the Tijjaniya Islamic Movement, has expressed his full support for the Federal Government’s initiative to integrate western education into the Almajiri curriculum.
This endorsement was given during a visit by Dr. Muhammad Sani Idris, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education (NCAOOSCE), to Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s residence in Bauchi.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi affirmed that the Tijjaniya Movement is dedicated to any endeavor that promotes the socio-economic development of Nigeria.
During the visit, Dr. Idris explained that the restructuring of Almajiri education aims to provide millions of out-of-school children with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in a globalized world.
He also conveyed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to addressing the challenges posed by the Almajiri system and ensuring that every child has access to education.
