Children’s Day: BBSI Organizes Debate and Quiz Competition

In celebration of Children’s Day 2024, the Blue Baby Support Initiative (BBSI), a non-governmental organization, organized an inter-public primary schools debate and quiz competition.

The event, themed “The Impact of Bullying on the Youths’ Mental Health,” took place at Methodist Basic School Bodija, Ibadan, on Monday.

It featured various activities, including a debate competition, spelling competition, giveaways, and more, with participants competing for cash and other prizes.

Aisha Dania Ogieriakhi, the founder of BBSI, expressed her delight at the success of the Children’s Day Debate Quiz competition.

She noted that the event was filled with enthusiasm and intellectual energy, as young debaters showcased their talents in a friendly yet competitive atmosphere.

Ogieriakhi praised the children’s determination and passion, highlighting the exceptional oratorial skills of the competition winners, and congratulated them on their well-deserved victories.

The event was further enriched by the presence of notable guests, including Ms. Nancy Imegwu from Women of Inestimable Value and Mr. Jokotade Luqman Olanrewaju, a representative from the Ministry of Education. Their addresses resonated with the audience, adding significance to the occasion.

Ogieriakhi concluded by emphasizing the event’s testament to the intelligence, talent, and potential of school children.

She expressed hope for continued support and nurturing of their growth in academic and intellectual pursuits.

She also extended her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event’s success.
