Bauchi govt promotes 84 senior civil service officers
No fewer than 84 senior civil servants in Bauchi have been promoted to the next grade of service by the State Civil Service Commission (CSC) for effective service delivery in the civil service.
Among those promoted is the Deputy Chief Medical Officer who has been promoted to the rank of Chief Medical Officer on grade level 17 in the State Civil Service.
These were considered during the 11th plenary session of the Commission held on 14/03/2024 at its Conference Hall.
During the meeting, the Commission considered 84 recommendations of Candidates submitted by 4 MDAs including State Independent Electoral Commission – 5 Officers, Health Management Board – 73 Officers, Debt Management Office -3 Officers and State Sports Council – 3 Officers.
All the Candidates were interviewed, promoted, and converted to their next grade into various cadres in their respective MDAs.
The Chairman of the Commission Alh. Abubakar Usman IION, who presided over the meeting charged the newly promoted Candidates to live up to expectations and put more effort in the discharge of their primary assignment.
The Chairman emphasised the need to adhere to the rules of laws and advised them to stick to the laid down guidelines through the use of Public Service Rules and Regulations and other extant laws for improved service delivery in the State to reciprocate the gesture done to them by the present Administration as contained in a statement by Saleh Umar I.O. BSCSC.
