Fire outbreak kills two, destroys houses in Itas/Gadau village
No fewer than two persons died and properties destroyed in a fire outbreak in Maraku village of Zubuki ward in Itas/Gadau local government area of Bauchi State.
Our reporter gathered that the village was ravaged by the fire whose source is still unknown, leading to destruction of huts, barns and other valuables.
Raw food items stored in the barns were completely razed down by the fire just as places where people were using as houses were completely destroyed.
Residents of the village, who now count their losses after being rendered homeless, are now taking refuge in neighbouring villages.
Meanwhile, the Senator representing Bauchi North Senatorial District of Bauchi State, Senator Samaila Dahuwa Kaila, has condoled with the people over the fire incident.
The Senator urged the people to accept the happening as an act of God, calling on them to accept it as their fate and look up to Allah for divine intervention.
He called on the state government, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) as well as the Federal Government for quick intervention.
