The Demonstration Secondary School Azare, has won the 2023/2024 Best School in Informatics in Bauchi in Nigerian Mathematics and Science Olympiad second round.
The Quiz Master, Mallam Aminu Maigari, Demonstration Secondary School Azare, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday.
He said the school was awarded at Bauchi State National Mathematic Centre on Saturday 2nd March, 2024.
The Nigerian Mathematics and Science Olympiads competitions is mandated to identify and encourage young talents, stimulate enthusiasm among young Nigerian students and attract distinguished mathematical scientists, from all over the country.
According to him, it is also aimed at enabling it tackle national set goals in the development of mathematical sciences.
“Our school made it again, we emerge the best in computer, chemistry and mathematics in Bauchi State in Nigerian Mathematics and Science Olympiads Second round” he said.
Listing some of its outstanding achievements he said their students has won in various subjects including mathematics, chemistry and computer subjects and informatics Olympiads.
“Our schools also achieved a record-breaking that qualified for the second round of the competitions” he said.
The Dean of the school Mal. Tata Umar Sa’ad appreciated the students’ efforts as well as their quiz master which always dedicated his time to make the school among the best in Katagum and Bauchi State at large.
