Amana Sickle Cell Foundation donates blood count machine to Bauchi Gov’t

The Amana Sickle Cell Foundation has donated a full-blood count machine (FBC) that is worth 3.6 million to strengthen the capacity of Bauchi State Government in its effort to improve the quality of care of the general public, particularly sickle cell warriors.

The foundation has so far been executing activities to curtail the menace of sickle cell disease improve access to care for sickle cell patients and ensure the support of all kinds to support the warriors of sickle cell disease across the state.

The FBC machine was received by the state government through its honorable commissioner for health Dr. Umar Sambo.

In his remark, he appreciated the effort of the Amana Sickle Cell Foundation and the commitments of the chairman of BOT His Excellency the former Deputy Governor, Alh Arc. Audu Sule Katagum FNIA, Mnim wazirin Katagum, and the CEO Abdulqadir Gambo Musa for their tireless effort while bringing succor to the lives of those living with sickle cell disease.

The meeting ended on a very high note and in attendance was the chairman of BOT and CEO of Amana Sickle Cell Foundation, the Honorable Commissioner for Health, the permanent Secretary of SMOH, the Director of laboratory science, and the Director of medical science.
