His Excellency the Governor of Bauchi State Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed appointed Dr. Farouk Mustapha Katagum (Kauran Galadiman Katagum) as Senior Special Assistant on Multilateral Coordination
In the context of public administration, choosing qualified people to hold high positions is important. A few days ago, Governor Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State, made a commendable decision by appointing Dr. Katagum, an expert technician from Zaki Local Government in Bauchi State.
Dr. Farouk Mustapha Katagum’s history originates from the Northern Bauchi in Zaki Local Government. His late grandfather Malam Hamid Katagum was a famous Islamic scholar, while his late father, Alhaji. Mustapha Hamid Katagum was a leader in the community, the former Permeant Secretary of the Bauchi state Government, his father tried to stand as a candidate for the Bauchi North Senatorial position in 2015.
Dr. Farouk Mustapha Katagum started his journey for education in Bauchi, Amana International Primary School Bauchi. Later, throughout his studies, Farouk attended different schools, Baitul Hikimah College Bauchi, He went on to obtain a first degree (Bsc international relations & diplomacy) at Base University Abuja and a second Degree MSC Intelligence and Global Security from Base University Abuja, then he did a PhD in International Relations & Diplomacy Base University Abuja.
The appointment of Governor Bala Mohammed to Dr. Farouk Mustapha Katagum has shown leadership skills, considering the importance of effective financial management for the economic development of Bauchi state.
As a senior special assistant to the governor, Farouk’s work is very important in providing leadership and impact on the lives of the people of Bauchi state. With his expertise, it is expected that he will guide effective planning and allocation of effective funds, and address the economic challenges the state is facing and provide overall development.
In addition, Dr. Farouk Katagum set a good example for the youth of Bauchi state, where he showed that hard work, dedication, and skills are recognized and give them the opportunity to serve and contribute meaningfully to their community.
Finally, Governor Bala Mohammed’s appointment of Dr. Farouk as a special assistant showed his talent and commitment to the development of Bauchi state. Our hope is that Farouk as the Senior Special Assistant will have a change management plan, which will benefit the state and its people.
