Police arrest three suspected kidnappers in Bauchi

Operatives of the Zone 12 Police Command, Bauchi have successfully arrested three individuals suspected of being involved in a recent kidnapping case.

The disclosure was made by the AIG in charge of the Zone, Dasuki Danbappa Galadanchi while briefing Journalists during a parade of the suspects at the Zonal Command Headquarters in Bauchi on Friday.

The AIG thanked the operatives for their tireless work and the cooperation of various law enforcement agencies, which enabled them to bring the suspects into custody.

According to him, the suspects are: Mohammed Nasiru of Burga Village of Tafawa Balewa LGA, Nuhu Audu of the same address, and Ibrahim Dabo of Gwaramba Village, Alkaleri LGA of Bauchi.

The AIG explained that the suspects kidnapped one Abdullahi Sale and demanded the sum of N3,000,000 as ransom for his release.

He added that the suspects were apprehended and the victim was rescued, the sum of N1.540m and locally fabricated firearm were recovered after an intensive investigation, which involved both tech-savvy tracking, and some undercover work.

“Our operatives worked seamlessly with other law enforcement agencies, which demonstrates the excellent partnership and cooperation between all agencies involved.”

“However, I must emphasise that this is just the beginning, and we still have much work to do. Our efforts to fight crime will continue, and we will not stop working until our communities are entirely safe.
