Bashir Sadiq Azare an old student of Aminu Saleh College of Education Azare and former President Gamji Memorial Club 2018 narrated how his two good friends plays vital roles and records in his personal achievement and development in life.
He said “two (2) gentlemen played a vital role in my personal Achievement and development in this our physical earth, these gentlemen are:
- Comr Hassan Ibrahim Katagum
- Sani Muhammad.
“They are my friends and brothers at the same time, we attended the same secondary school with them, if I could vividly remember, when we were in S.S.1, I can’t form even a single correct and grammatical sentence in English, but with their contributions and encouragements made me learnt a lot from them when it comes to English as a second language.
“To summarize, they are the the first to encourage me to speak English in public as well an as environment where I live and correct me when I was wrong.
“I was having bicycle by then, Sani Muhammad asked me to leave it at home, he used to come to my shop and take me to school with his bike everyday, we used to eat food and drink a very cool Dan Dubai (Zobo) in their house, sometimes he even used to come to my shop and teach me phonetics and phonology
( the specific and the general study of English sound) which Alhamdulillah, now it’s my best field and I can say Alhamdulillah I know a lot in that field. My tongue lacks enough words to Thank him for his contributions towards my success.
“For Comr. Hassan Ibrahim Katagum, I don’t even know how to start mentioning his contributions for the development of my life, be it academically, psychological, mentally, socially and most importantly; politically.
“Hassan was the first person to advice me to participate in partisan policy in school, he was the first to advice me to buy a contesting form of senator to contest for the office of the Senator representing School Of Arts and Social Sciences(SASS) in the year 2017, I bought and won the election at the end, I also recontested in 2018 and won again, I also contested for the office of the Senate President which I couldn’t win, because I am contesting for the office of the President/Sardauna of Gamji Memorial Club in 2018.
“I became a President of Gamji Memorial Club ASCOEA Chapter in 2018 all because of his contributions.
“Hassan was also the first to asked me to be part of Gamji Club which at the end I became the 001 of the Club.
“Hassan didn’t only taught me in Learning English Language, but also teaches me on how to speak in public and participating in Comradeship. He also taught me a lot in speaking Arabic and the memorisation of some Qur’anic Chapters. I also Thanks you very much.
“Finally, after all these struggles, I went back home with the following certificates after graduation:
