The Bauchi State House of Assembly set to confirm Mr. Ishaku Yankari as the Auditor General of Bauchi State.
The Honourable House received a message from the Executive Governor of Bauchi State His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad forwarding the name of Mr. Ishaku Yankari as nominee for confirmation as Auditor General of Bauchi State.
While delivering the message, Majority Leader said that the letter comes after the Honourable House rejected the one earlier sent of the matter because of it didn’t follow the procedure of the Honourable House.
The Speaker said they rejected the previous letter because it was signed by an unauthorized person and now that the letter is signed by the Secretary to the State Government in accordance with the House Rule, the Honourable House will go ahead with the legislative processes on the matter.
The Honourable House refer the screening of the nominee to the House Committee on Public Account. The Committee was given one week to report back.
