SEC Gombe Graduates 13th Set of Students With Disabilities

The Special Education Centre, Gombe has graduated 13th set of graduands with disabilities for the year 2023 since its inception in 1999.

Speaking at the formal send-forth ceremony organized by the centre in honour of the graduands, Mr. Adamu Daniel, the class master of the special students’ graduands said he was very happy with the graduands for their cooperation and trust accorded to him.

Daniel used the occasion to express immense gratitude to the students for the efforts they have put forward to ensure that they have made useful contributions to the development of the centre.

He also thanked them for taking the first initiative to do something valuable and more useful.and said “It’s my hope that the good legacies you leave behind would be remembered by younger generations”

On his part, the immediate past principal of the centre, Mal. Saidu Jiji Gadam congratulated the graduands with disabilities for being the first in the history of the centre to live up to expectations.

He also noted that the efforts the graduands have made for renovating the principal’s office and donations of benches to staffs would forever be remembered and equally appreciated in the history of the centre in the long run.

He added, “today indeed I have seen amazing things from your side, my thought was that you were too small to think about important things like this, but today I realise that you are very wise students ”

The former principal also lamented that since the establishment of the centre in 1999, no students have done what the 2023 set of graduands have done.

He however expressed optimism that the good initiatives taken by the graduands will serve as a starting point for other students to emulate.

Earlier, the principal of the centre, Mal. Mohammed Ahmed Lawal, heaped praises on the graduands for their doggedness and unusual dedication towards their academic pursuits. He also admonished them to in utilize the training and knowledge they were equipped with at the centre in their daily life endeavors anywhere they find themselves.

Responding on behalf of the graduands, the immediate outgone head boy of the centre, Mohammed Auwalu expressed immense appreciation to the entire staff and management of the centre for the fatherly roles they have played to ensure their spiritual, social and educational growth and development of the graduands and other students of the school. He prayed that God reward them all with the best of rewards.
